Air conditioning with a chiller - fan coil system
▫️ A chiller (cooling water circulation device) is a device that controls the temperature by circulating a liquid such as water or heat medium as a cooling liquid whose temperature is adjusted by the refrigerant cycle. Chillers are usually used for air conditioning purposes in buildings.
One of the advantages of a chiller system is that you can control and change the temperature, and provide different temperatures for every room.
Chillers are mostly convenient for multi-storey buildings.
▫️ A fan coil system air-conditions or cools a given space very fastly and efficiently. The fan coil unit contains a fan which draws the air in a space into the unit then blows it over a cooling or heating coil, and as a result the air comes out either cooler or hotter than before.
Fan coil units will generally have a chilled water coil for cooling and either a hot water coil for heating or an electric heating element. Chilled water is provided from a chiller located in the central plant, and hot water forms a boiler.
Each fan coil unit is provided with a small supply of outside air to ensure adequate ventilation.
◽️One of the advantages of a chiller - fan coil air conditioning system is high flexibility in terms of rearrangement of space. This means that chiller - fan coil systems usually do not take up much space in the buildings.
The chiller - fan coil air conditioning systems that are used in Renome LLC for these types of systems are Aermec chiller - fancoils.
